A publication exploring the topic of Cycladic Architecture
The brief for Form surrounded choosing a piece of academic literature on a topic of interest and designing a publication that compliments the written content in an exciting visual manner. The chosen theme of the publication was Cycladic Architecture and used Emmanuel V. Marmaras academic article of “Cycladic Settlements of the Aegean Sea: A blending of Local and Foreign Influencers”. A dynamic use of typography, original photography and original simplistic illustrative elements were used to iterate key themes of the text in an insightful and memorable manner. These elements such as the blue tone colour pallet, thin simple line illustrations and serene original photography were also used to design the publication in order to visually communicate the essence of Cycladic Architecture and it’s contribution to creating a memorable sense of place.
